Looking for Celair evaporative cooler parts? Celair coolers share many genuine parts with Bonaire coolers, which is why HotnCool lists them together as Bonaire and Celair parts. This guide explains how to identify the part you need, which pumps, valves, pads, motors and controls are available, and how to match a replacement to the part already in your cooler.
How to find the right Celair part
Most customers find their part in one of three ways:
- The part number on the old part. Pumps, valves, motors and control boards usually carry a printed or moulded part number. Bonaire and Celair part numbers often end in “SP” (for example 6050916SP).
- The cooler data plate. The model number is on a label inside the cooler cabinet, usually near the electrical box. It tells us which pads, motor and control board suit your unit.
- A photo. If the label has faded, send us a clear photo of the old part next to a ruler and we’ll help you match it.
Always isolate the power at the cooler’s isolation switch, and turn off the water supply, before removing any part.
Celair cooler pumps
The pump lifts water from the tank to the pads. Celair and Bonaire coolers use Fasco-style pumps rated by flow, marked E/P28, E/P38 or E/P50. Match the rating on your old pump:
See all Bonaire and Celair cooler pumps, or read our evaporative cooler pump guide to check whether your pump has failed.
Water valves: float, solenoid, dump and drain
These valves control how water enters and leaves the cooler. A faulty valve is the most common cause of overflowing, leaking or a cooler that won’t fill.
- Float valve: the cistern ball float valve (6050916SP) controls the water level in mechanically filled coolers. It is confirmed to suit CP2, DF1 and DF2 models.
- Solenoid valves: 24V 15mm valves that open and close the water supply electrically. Choose the version with dump/bleed (6051636SP) or the version without dump/bleed (0080591SP) to match your old valve.
- Dump valves: the dump valve with washer (6001336SP), or the dump valve, washer and solenoid kit if you want to replace the set together.
- Drain valves: the Aquamiser drain valve (6051658SP) and its Aquamiser valve seal MK2 (6050197SP), and the H2O Optimiser drain valve (SPS6061640SP).
- Flow control: the dial flow valve (6050904SP) sets how much water reaches the pads.
For fault-finding, see our float valve and solenoid guide and drain valve guide.
Celair cooler pads
Many Bonaire and Celair coolers use Celdek pads, a rigid honeycomb pad that lasts longer than fibre pads. Pads are sized by cooler model:
- Celdek pads, small: VSS50 to VSS55 (6050215SP)
- Celdek pads: VSM45, VSM52 and VSM57 (6011308SP)
- Celdek pads, medium: VSM60 to VSM65 (6050115SP)
- Celdek pads, large: VSM75 and VSL70 to VSL75 (6050415SP)
Celdek pads are held in place with clips and washers. If yours are brittle or missing, use the Celdek clip and washer kit or the 20-pack kit. Read our cooler pads guide for when to replace pads.
Motors and electrical parts
- Variable speed fan motors: 600W (6051655SP), 750W (6051675SP) and 950W (6051685SP). Match the wattage on your old motor’s label.
- Capacitors: 15uF (0160185SP) and 25uF (016017SP). On motors that use one, a failed capacitor can stop the motor starting, and it is much cheaper to check and replace first. Match the uF rating printed on the old capacitor.
- Transformer: the cooler transformer (6001334) supplies the low-voltage power for the controls and valves.
- Fan collets: the 1/2″ fan collet (6050805SP) and CP2 fan collet (6080807SP) hold the fan on the motor shaft.

Controllers and control boards
- Wall controllers: the Navigator hardwired controller (5431029SP), the Navigator RF wireless controller (5431036SP), the Slimline wall controller (5431011SP) and the TEK700 digital controller (TEK7DAT), with the 4-pin Navigator loom (6051619SP).
- Control boards: the TEK600 control board (6051610SP), the SBB and Integra II control board (SPS10003570SP), and the PNE to TYT upgrade kits (6061695SP and 6061696SP).
Our Bonaire Navigator controller guide explains which controller suits which system.
Electrical work on the cooler should be done by a qualified technician.
Frequently asked questions
Are Celair and Bonaire cooler parts the same?
Many are. Celair and Bonaire coolers share a large number of genuine parts, including pumps, valves, pads and controls. Always match the part number on your old part, or check your cooler model with us before ordering.
Where is the model number on my Celair cooler?
On the data plate inside the cooler cabinet, usually near the electrical box. Isolate the power before opening the cooler.
My Celair cooler is old. Can I still get parts?
Often yes. Many older parts have been superseded by newer genuine parts that fit the same way. Send us the old part number or a photo and we’ll check.
Which part fails most often on a Celair cooler?
Pumps, float and solenoid valves, and pads are the most commonly replaced parts, because they work with water every time the cooler runs. Our service checklist covers what to check each season.
