Frequently asked questions
Can I fit a newer controller to my old evaporative cooler?
Sometimes. Newer controllers often need a matching control box and loom, so an upgrade may involve more than one part. Check with us before ordering.
Is the controller the same for my ducted heater and evaporative cooler?
Not always. Some homes use a combined heating and cooling controller, others use separate controllers. Check the model number on your current controller.
How long does the controller loom need to be?
Measure the cable run from the wall controller position up to the cooler, allowing extra for routing through the roof space. See the wall controller replacement guide for more help.
Not sure which controller you have? Read our Breezair controller guide covering MagIQTouch, CPMD and SpectroLink controllers for Breezair, Braemar and Coolair.

About Breezair, Braemar & Coolair evaporative cooler wall controllers
The wall controller is the unit you use to turn the cooler on and off, set the fan speed and switch between cooling and fan-only modes.
Controllers must match the cooler's control system, so check the model name on your existing controller or the cooler's model plate before ordering. If the display is blank or the cooler doesn't respond, check the power and the cable to the cooler before replacing the controller.
