Breezair Spare Parts Guide: Breezair, Braemar and Coolair Cooler Parts Explained

This guide covers the Breezair spare parts that most often need replacing, plus the matching Braemar and Coolair evaporative cooler parts. All three brands are made by Seeley International, so many parts are shared between them. Start with your model and part number

Breezair, Braemar and Coolair models are identified by a code on the cooler’s compliance label, such as EXQ, EZQ, EXH, ICON, LCB, LCQ or RPA, followed by a size number. Many parts also carry a six-digit Seeley part number (for example 834320 or 095806). Having both makes it much easier to get the right part first time.

Water system parts

Breezair cooler pump

If the fan runs but the air isn’t cool and the pads are dry, check the pump. The genuine Seeley Tornado pump (095806) is used across many Breezair, Braemar and Coolair coolers. See Breezair and Braemar pumps and our evaporative cooler pump guide.

Breezair solenoid valve and float valves

The solenoid valve lets water into the cooler. The 24VAC solenoid valve (834320) suits a wide range of models, and the 12VDC solenoid valve (865607) suits models with 12V DC water management. Coolers that use a float to control the level take the vertical float valve (901114) or the adjustable horizontal float valve (905150). Breezair drain valves

The drain valve flushes salty water from the tank. A valve that leaks stops the cooler filling; one that won’t open lets scale build up. Choose the 24VAC drain valve (105345) or the 12VDC drain valve (116389) to match your cooler. See Breezair and Braemar drain valves.

Breezair filter pads

Breezair coolers use Chillcel-style pads that clog with scale and dust over time. Replace them when they’re crusted, sagging, crumbling or smelly. Sets include the medium set (114620), the large set (114613) and the set for ES/EX 210 and EZH/EZQ 215 (114583), held in with pins and washers and corner clips. Motors and fan parts

Breezair and Braemar coolers use 2-speed, variable-speed or Icon direct-drive motors depending on the model. We stock the full range, including the 1500W variable speed motor (095349), the 1500W 2 speed motor (095097), the 1500W Icon direct drive motor (095967) and the Braemar 950W motor (095714), plus motor pulleys. Check the part number and wattage on your existing motor before ordering.

Control boxes and wall controllers

If the cooler won’t start, shows a fault code or the controller is blank, the problem may be the wall controller, the loom or the control box. Control boxes include the Breezair Icon control box, the MagIQtouch control box with external sensor, the Braemar/Coolair CPMD control box and the dual port ICPMD control box for LPQI and LCQI. • Warm air, dry pads: Tornado pump, solenoid valve, float valve or water sensor.
• Overflowing or wasting water: solenoid stuck open or float valve not closing.
• Tank won’t hold water: drain valve.
• Fan won’t run or runs slowly: motor, control box or controller.

Safety first

Breezair and Braemar coolers are usually roof-mounted and run on 240V. Motor, pump, control box and valve replacement should be done by a qualified technician or licensed electrician, with the power isolated before work starts.
