Need a replacement Brivis controller? Most Brivis evaporative coolers and ducted gas heaters are run from a Networker wall controller, which talks to control modules inside the cooler or heater. Older Brivis coolers use TEK controllers and control boxes. This guide explains which Brivis controller you have, what replaces it, and how to tell whether the fault is the controller or the control box.
Brivis Networker controller (NC-6)
The genuine Brivis NC-6 Networker wall controller (B022890) is the current Brivis controller for both heating and cooling. It is part of the Brivis ZonePlus zone-control system and replaces the earlier Networker models:
- NC-1 (B014476)
- NC-2 (B017818)
- NC-3 (B018965)
The NC-6 suits a very wide range of Brivis ducted gas heaters and evaporative coolers, including Contour, Profiler, Promina and AD series coolers and Advance and StarPro heaters. Check the full compatible model list on the product page before ordering.

Other Brivis cooler controllers
- Brivis manual wall controller (B019223): a basic manual controller for Brivis evaporative coolers. Fitment isn’t published for this part, so send us your cooler model to confirm before ordering.
- TEK controllers: some older Brivis coolers use TEK wall controllers with TEK control boxes (see below).
Brivis cooler control boxes and modules
The wall controller sends commands to the control box or network module in the cooler. If that part fails, a new wall controller won’t fix the problem. Common Brivis cooler control parts:
- N-E6 main control box with switch (B008783): suits Brivis Contour L10T, L11, L12, L20, L20T, L21, L22, L30, L31, L32 and more. Also available without switch (B021191).
- N-E1 control box (B014550): suits older Brivis AC, AD and CC series coolers.
- TEK467 control box (B022970): the TEK467 is now superseded by the TEK7EC, which is supplied as the replacement for TEK467, TEK461 and TEK632 control boxes.
- 516 network module (B023178): part of the ZonePlus system. It works with the NC-6 Networker and NT-1 sensor.
- 526 PCB add-on module (B023072): adds network integration and multi-speed fan control to N-E6 control systems.
For ducted gas heaters, the Brivis 506 network control module (B015136) links the heater to the Networker controller. See all Brivis cooler control modules and Brivis heater control modules.
Which Brivis controller do I have?
- Check the controller: Networker controllers show “Networker” or an NC model number on the label. TEK controllers have a TEK number on the back.
- Check the cooler or heater data plate: your Brivis model (for example a Contour L20 or an AD series cooler) tells us which control box and controller suit it.
- Note any fault code: Networker controllers display fault codes that help show whether the problem is in the cooler, the heater or the wiring.
Controller, cable or control box: find the real fault
- Blank controller: check power to the cooler or heater first, then the cable between the controller and the unit.
- Controller works but nothing runs: the control box or network module in the cooler is the likely fault.
- Fault code on screen: note the code and check your owner’s manual, or contact us with the code and your model.
Our wall controller replacement guide covers these checks in more detail. Electrical and gas work must be done by a qualified technician or licensed gasfitter.
Frequently asked questions
What replaces my Brivis NC-1, NC-2 or NC-3 Networker?
The Brivis NC-6 Networker (B022890) is the current replacement for NC-1, NC-2 and NC-3 controllers.
Can one Brivis Networker control both my heater and cooler?
Yes. The NC-6 is designed for both Brivis heating and cooling, so one controller can run a Brivis ducted gas heater and evaporative cooler together.
Why is my Brivis controller not turning on the cooler?
If the controller powers up but the cooler doesn’t respond, the control box (such as the N-E6) or the network module is the most likely cause. Check that the cooler has power at its isolation switch first.
Where can I find the Brivis evaporative cooling manual?
The model and wiring information is on the data plate inside the cooler. If you’ve lost your manual, contact us with your model number and we can help identify the right parts.
Not sure which part you need? Browse all Brivis evaporative cooler parts, or contact HotnCool with your model number and a photo of your controller and we’ll check compatibility for you.
